This project began with a focus on furnishing and decor, as our clients transitioned from a one-bedroom apartment to a spacious home. With renovations planned to happen later, our initial goal was to establish a cohesive style that resonated with both the clients and the house — one that could seamlessly extend throughout every room. The result? A fun,
stylish, and welcoming aesthetic that perfectly embodies their personalities.
The color palette is neutral in most areas, allowing for striking contrast, bold patterns, layered textures, and occasional pops of rich hues. To add sophistication, we incorporated velvets, brass accents, dramatic lighting, and thoughtfully chosen decor. Clever space planning transformed oddly shaped rooms and problem areas into functional, beautifully designed rooms that balance form and utility. A mix of interesting and timeless pieces were carefully selected to create a home that feels layered, inviting, and but remains practical.
With the groundwork laid, we moved on to renovations, starting with the bathrooms. These were transformed from dated spaces into spa-like retreats for the homeowners and their guests. Unique tile layouts, bespoke materials, and calming color palettes ensured the bathrooms were both stylish and cohesive with the rest of the home’s design.
Next, we tackled the laundry and mudroom. The existing mudroom, with its oversized, impractical closets, was reimagined into a useful space featuring custom cabinetry with built-in organizers and lighting. The black-and-white marble flooring complements the tones of the adjacent kitchen, tying the two areas together seamlessly.
With these updates, the project has come fullcircle. All that’s left now is finishing the basement — a task we’re excited to complete next on our list!
Forever one of my favorite projects - bold and fun in style but cozy and practical in function.
